Our Core Beliefs

Statement of Belief

We believe God is raising a people through Christ Family Tabernacle who will reflect His heart, walk in His power, and influence their communities with truth, love, and boldness.

Tenets of the Church

  • We believe in the existence of the One True God, Elohim, Maker of the whole universe. (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 3:16–17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  • We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is infallible in its declaration, final in its authority, all-sufficient in its provisions, and comprehensive in its sufficiency. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

  • We believe that humanity’s need for a Savior has been met in the person of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:21; John 4:42; Acts 2:36)

  • We believe all humanity must repent and confess their sins before God, believe in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ for justification, and experience sanctification through the Holy Spirit, receiving eternal life. (Luke 15:7; Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19; 1 Corinthians 1:30; John 17:2–3)

  • We believe in baptism by immersion for believers of responsible age and the observance of Holy Communion by members in full fellowship. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–33)

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the operation of His gifts and fruit in the lives of believers. (Acts 2; 1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5:22–23)

  • We believe in tithing and freewill offerings for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. (Malachi 3:6–10; 2 Corinthians 9:6–9)

  • We believe marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong union between a man and a woman, for mutual support and the nurturing of children. (Genesis 2:18–25; Matthew 19:4–6)

  • We believe in the Second Coming of Christ and the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved. (Daniel 12:2; John 5:28–29; Acts 1:11)
